Daha büyük ve daha zorlayıcı görevler isteyen bir lise ya da üniversite öğrencisi misiniz? Bu seneki Dünya Finalleri’ni sınırda yaşamak ister misiniz? Öyleyse, işin sınırlarını zorlayın!

DIeXtreme yaratıcı düşüncelerinizi tetikleyecek ve sizi daha önce hiçbir Görev’in götürmediği yerlere götürecek. Bu sene, tam DÖRT Görev yaratıcılığınızı, dayanma gücünüzü, ve akıl sağlığınızı sınayacak. Her şeyden iyisi de, bu Görevlerin tüm lise ve üniversite öğrencilerine açık olması!

2009’un bu en zorlayıcı Görevlerinin her birine farklı şekillerde ve sürelerde hazırlanılır. Ve ilk kez bu sene olmak üzere, 2. DIeXtreme Görevi size tek başınıza görevi üstlenme ve tek kişilik takım olma fırsatı sunuyor. (Evet, tek bir kişi!)

Bu görev radikal DI’cılar içindir. Yaratıcılığınızı ve tahammül sınırlarınızı esas teste tabi tutacak olan görevdir. Açılış töreninden sonra Görevinizi alın, gece boyunca üzerinde çalışın, ertesi gün çözümünüzü sunun.

DI Görevlerinin bir takım olmadan nasıl çözülebileceğini hiç merak ettiniz mi? Madem öyle, bu Görevde, düello tarzı bir teste tabi tutulacaksınız. Hiç tanımadığınız insanlarla el ele verip birlikte çalışacak ve iş birliği yapacaksınız, ama aynı zamanda, gizlice kendi yaratıcı çözümünüz için çalışacaksınız. Kısacası kaleyi içeriden fethedeceksiniz.

Bu Görevde uğraşmak için en az 18 yaşında olmanız gerekir ve bir takıma ihtiyacınız YOKTUR. Bu görev için katılım ücreti kişi başına ödenecektir. [Not: Takım üyelerinin aynı gün hem TEK BAŞINA Görev’e hem de MaXimum Görev’e katılması tavsiye edilmemektedir.]

Bu Görev haddinden fazla zor olduğundan sunum zamanını gündüz vaktine koymaya yeltenmedik bile! Bu dişli Görev’de en uç gerçekliği sunmak için mücadele edecek, çözümünüzü görüntü ve seslerle bol bol süsleyeceksiniz. Tıpkı bir TV şovu gibi! Kampüsün her tarafındaki insanları sallamaya ve skandal yaratmaya hazırlanın!

Yoğun istek üzerine, en zahmetli görevlerden olan KAFA KAFAYA Görev geri döndü! Daha fazlasını istediniz, daha fazlasını alacaksınız! Saç döken, tırnak yediren bu Görevi cuma gecesi kabul edin, cumartesi günü saltanatınızı sürmeye hazır olun!

Kim DIeXtreme yapabilir?

Başvurunuzu erkenden tamamlayın: Üç gün sürecek bu yarışmalar için katılım sınırlı olacaktır. DIeXtreme tüm üniversite ve lise öğrencilerine açıktır (Katılımcılar Dünya Finalleri zamanında en az 9. sınıfı bitirmekte olmalıdırlar. İstisnalar mazur görülmeyecektir.) 18 yaşından küçük lise öğrencilerinin bulunduğu takımların, takım üyesi olmayan bir yetişkin gözetiminde olmaları zorunludur. Bu konuda da istisnalar mazur görülmeyecektir.

Hangi Görevlere başvurabilirim?

Takımlar bu görevlerin birine, ikisine, üçüne, ya da dördüne birden başvurabilirler. Evet doğru okudunuz, dördüne de başvurabilirsiniz. (Ancak takım üyelerinin aynı gün hem TEK BAŞINA Görev’e hem de MaXimum Görev’e katılması tavsiye edilmemektedir.) Eğer bir Takım Görevi’nde yarışacaksanız, aynı zamanda DIeXtreme yapabilirsiniz. Programın size göre ayarlanacağından şüpheniz olmasın.

Bir takımın birkaç üyesi olarak başvurabilir miyiz?

TEK BAŞINA Görev’de yarışmadığınız sürece, takım olarak başvurmanız gerekmektedir. Bir takımınız yoksa ve diğer üç Görevden birinde yarışmak istiyorsanız, başka bireysel katılımcılarla tanışıp takım kurmanıza yardımcı olabiliriz. DIeXtreme için ne zaman ve nasıl başvurabilirim?

Yarışacak takımlar istedikleri her bir Görev için www. ShopDI.org adresinden 15 Nisan 2009 tarihine kadar başvurmak zorundadır. Katılım ücretiniz ödendikten sonra size bir “Dünya Finalleri’ne gidiş” kitapçığı, bir takım başvuru formu (konaklama işlemleri için) ve bir Takım Çalışma Rehberi gönderilecektir.

Are you a college or high school student looking for bigger and badder Challenges? Are you ready to live on the edge at this year’s Global Finals? If so, then take it to the eXtreme!

DIeXtreme will amp up those creative juices and take you where no Challenge has ever taken you before. This year, FOUR Challenges will put your creativity, your stamina, and even your sanity to the ultimate test. And best of all, these Challenges are open to ALL Secondary or University Level individuals or teams. Really? Yup! Even if you are also registered for the DI "Flagship" Tournament at Global Finals, you can take your Global Finals experience to the eXtreme!

Each of the 2009 eXtreme Challenges requires a different amount of prep and time. And for the first time ever, the 4th DIeXtreme Challenge will give you a chance to step out ON-YOUR-OWN and be a team of ONE. (Yes, 1!)

Start Time: Wednesday, May 19 - evening
Presentation Time: Thursday, May 21 – 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM

For eXtreme purists… this one will put your creativity (and your endurance) to the ultimate test! Show up after Opening Ceremony to get your Challenge, work through the night, and present your solution the next day.

Presentation Time: Friday, May 22 – 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Ever wondered what DI would be like WITHOUT a team? Well, in this Challenge, you’ll be tested, sans team, in a gauntlet-style Challenge that will drive you to cooperate, coordinate and collaborate with strangers while you secretly build your very own creative conquest.

You must be 18 years or older to tackle this Challenge, and you do NOT need a team. The entry fee for this Challenge is per person. [Note: We do not recommend that team members participate in the MaX and ON-YOUR-OWN Challenges on the same day.]

Start Time: Thursday, May 21 - evening
Presentation Time: Friday, May 22 – 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM

This Challenge is so over-the-top we don’t dare schedule it for daytime. You’ll battle for eXtreme REALITY supremacy in this gritty, audio-visually intensive Challenge. Get ready to rock the audience and create scandal across the campus!

Due to popular demand, the grueling head-to-head Challenge is back, baby! You asked for more—and you’ll get more! Accept this hair-pulling, nail-biting Challenge on Friday night, and be ready to reign supreme on Saturday!

Who can do eXtreme?

Sign up early: spaces are limited for all three days of competition. eXtreme is open to all college students and all high school students (participants must have completed or be finishing 9th grade at the time of Global Finals – NO exceptions). Teams that include high school students under age 18 must also have an adult supervisor who is NOT a part of their team – NO exceptions.

What Challenges can I register for?

Teams may register for one, two, three, or all four Challenges, with NO exceptions. That’s right, we said it! (However, we do not recommend that team members participate in the MaX and ON-YOUR-OWN Challenges on the same day.) If you are registered to compete in the DI Flagship Tournament, you can ALSO do DI eXtreme. We’ll find a way to make the schedule work for you/your team.

Do I have to register as part of a team?

Unless you are competing in the ON-YOUR-OWN Challenge, you must register as a team. If you do not have a team but want to compete in any of the other three Challenges, we can help you link up with other individuals and form teams. Our University Level coordinator will serve as the clearinghouse to connect individuals. Contact Chris Groberg at university@dihq.org.

Does my team have to be participating in the DI program to go to Global Finals (to participate in DIeXtreme)?

NOPE! Come on down to Tennessee for an eXtreme Global Finals experience! You do NOT have to already be participating in the DI program. Yes, you read that right! Ain’t DIeXtreme so cool?

When and how do I register for DIeXtreme?

Each team must register for each of the eXtreme Challenges in which they plan to participate on www. ShopDI.org by April 15, 2009. Once you have paid the entry fee, we will send you a Going to Globals binder, Team Registration Form (for housing packages) and a Team Practice Guide.
